| As the title of my home page indicates, I am researching for a hive of Smith's. My mother is a Smith. She has 7 brothers and 5 sisters. A sister married a Smith. A brother married a Smith. My father's mother was Smith.... and the list continues. Even the Tanzey's have Smith's. My great-grandmother Tanzey was a Smith. I am a young (new to the search) researcher. I need help finding where to research next. How is this done? Reading how-to books seems to be a waste of time. Help! Joseph Spinks Smith (1856-1892) married Mary Almira Walker(1856-1944) September 23, 1875 in Adams County, IL . They had seven children. Ada Elizabeth, Ivan A., William Christopher, Mary Etta, Joseph Wilson, Jesse Elmer, Ica LearHis father might have been William Smith from North Carolina. Jacob Nelson Tanzey(1834-1908) married Eliza Ann Smith(1848-1883) August 05, 1868. They had six children. Thomas J., Alfred Lee, Dora, Caleb, Jr., Hugh and Lester. His father was Caleb Tanzey born in 1802 in Monongalia, VA father from Scotland. |
