| This is an attempt to trace my father's family tree. My great-grandfather, Patrick Dever(partents Patrick and Mary, I think) was born in 1856, in Achill, County Mayo, Ireland. My great-grandmother, Mary Dever(nee Corrigan) was born March 1858 in Ireland (we believe in Achill or somewhere in County Mayo)and immigrated to the US in 1872. I believe they met in the US and married but where I am not sure. They ended up in Cleveland Ohio where the had 5 children - my grandfather, James (born 1881), Nora(born 1883), Joseph(born 1886), Hugh(born 1888) and Adelia(born 1891). Also a John and Mike Carolan resided with them in Cleveland and I believe their parents name were John and Helen(born Dever) Carolan(Carlin). Helen may be Patrick's sister. |
