| I am researching the Smith Connection in Maine, Massachusetts, and Canada.... Isaiah Smith b. abt 1810 m. Mary Estabrooks in 1836 in Calais, ME. They had several children one was named George Melvin. George Melvin Smith b. 1840 in Canada d. 1885 in Calais, ME...m. Aug. 18, 1861 in Calais, ME to Mary Wedman b. Feb 1842 in Bayside, New Brunswick, Canada. They had several children: Julia Etta Smith b. 1865, Charles M.Smith b. 1867, Elizabeth M. Smith 1871, Albert S. Smith b. 1873, Addie Maud Smith 1876, Jane Gertrude Smith b. 1878. All born in Calais, ME (I suppose)...There are hints that there are other children too... Julia married a Fred Norton Johnson, Charles M. was an Optometrist in Boston, MA he married Lucy Montgomery from NB Canada. Albert S. married Irene Bailey in 1895 in Calais, ME had 9 children Addie M. married Emmett Bassett moved to MA Elizabeth moved to MA married Perry Ellston Day in Brockton, MA Jane Gertrude married Alfred Day moved to MA had 2 children Any information that you may have please email me at cmstacey@comcast.net |
