Searching for parents of David Ogden, b abt. 1756, who m Anna Jayne 3/13/1781 prob in Northampton Co., Pa. Family tradition states descent from the Quaker David Ogden who accompanied William Penn on the Welcome in 1682, but I have been unable to find a link or identify our David's parents. David Ogden supposedly was dead by 1800 and Anna Jayne married 2nd spouse, Aaron Van Houten.
David and Anna had son, Amos Ayers Ogden, b 1794, prob. Tompkins Co., NY. Amos Ayers Ogden m Abigail Lounsbury and they had a son, David Jaynes Ogden (my gr. grandfather) b 7/25/1831. About 1833 this branch of the family removed to Menard Co., Illinois. David Jaynes Ogden m Mary Jane Young 1/4/1853, and they left Illinois to follow the gold rush to Cripple Creek, Co., Helena, Mt., the Black Hills of So. Dakota, and then homesteaded in Sundance, Wyo. about 1880.

Also researching surnames Box, Davis and Lambert who were all in Minnesota (Rice Co. and Marshall Co.) in the 1870's through the 1890's.

Sarah Eliza Davis, b 1838 from Maysville, Mason Co., Ky., Dtr of Nathaniel Washburn Davis and Susan, m in 1856 in Baraboo, Sauk Co., Wisconsin, William Henry Box who was b 1830, location unknown.

George W. Lambert, b. abt. 1817, emigrated from Ireland by way of England as a young man. He was naturalized in Monroe Co., state unknown, in 1844. He died in Warren, Marshall Co., Minnesota in 1890.
