Notes for Colemen Mckoy: on June 3, 2003 According to hear say from two family members, Colemen Mckoy is not a blood related Mckoy. Either right after the end or right after the civil war Colemen mother left him wrapped-up with a cloth in his mouth so that the soldiers wouldn't hear him as they go by. He was either left in Jacob and Monemia yard or in front of their door. Anyway they found him and took him in and raised him as their own. He is not the son of Amy Mckoy. He took the surname of Mckoy because that was all he knew as a child. I found this very interesting. Again I say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I can relate to this because my mom gave me up to my biological father Willie Roosevelt Mckoy.
