The Coats/Boydston Family Home Page

Sue Taub, my mother, and I are conducting research on the names Coats and Boydston. Our Coats family originated in the South (i.e North and South Carolina & Tennesee) and migrated with Daniel Boone to Callaway Country, Missouri.
Our family's first written documentation is with the Reverand William Coats (born circa 1764)and his 15 children.

We are direct decendants of Pocahontas, and distant cousin to Harriet Beecher Stowe.

The Boydston family, in our documents, begins with Tom Davis Boydston Sr. and Julia McWilliams. They lived in Oklahoma City, OK. Tom Sr. was a founder of Indian Territory Illuminating Oil Company. They had four children, Tom Jr. (Father of Sue-Ann Boydston Taub), Raley (Raleigh), Ruby Gem, and one other daughter name unknown.
