Notes for Gad Asher Lamb: Wellsboro Agitator – Feb. 27, 1901 DEATH OF MR. G. A. LAMB, LAMBS CBEEK, Feb, 20.—Mr. Gad A. Lamb, aged 81, a highly Respected and life-long resident of this place, died of paralysis last Thursday afternoon at the home of his sister, Miss Maria Lamb. He was 81 years of age, He had been in poor health for some time, and about four weeks prior to his death he was stricken with paralysis. The deceased had been for many years a member of the Methodist.Episcopal church here. All his life he was active in church work and especially in the Sunday schools. His wife died several years ago. Her maiden name was Hannah Cooper. He was the father of six Children, four of whom, with an adopted daughter, Mrs. Henry Glenwright, of Morris Run, survive him. They are Mrs William Downing, of Binghamton, N. Y., Mrs. Ada Barnard, of Casselton, North Dakota, Arthur Lamb, of Bath, N.Y., and Ross Lamb, of,Hancock, Wis. He is survived by three sisters, and two brothers: Mrs. Luther Carpenter, of Farmington, and Mrs. C. C. Cooper, Miss Teresa Maria Lamb, and, Bradley, and Frederick, all of this place. The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p. m. from the Methodist church. The deceased was a, good and intelligent man and a useful citizen.
