Miles Love of Virginia and Canton, MS

I am researching the LOVE FAMILY from Virginia and later from Canton, Mississippi. Miles Love appears in the 1870, 1880, (1890 census destroyed by fire) 1900, and 1920 census in Canton, Mississippi. We believe Miles arrived in Mississippi sometime in the 1840's. It is believed he purchased land in Canton, MS from William Prichard or the Muse Family around 1843.Miles married twice, first to MaryJane??? from Kentucky and later to Eliza Jones from Virginia.

Miles' mother, Dorcas Wilson, was born in Virginia in 1810, Miles was born in 1826 (Miles was Dorcas' only child). Miles born free could read and write. All of his children were born in Mississippi and most graduated from Alcorn College. The children from the first marriage were medical doctors, teachers, and farmers. All of the daughters from the second marriage were teachers. The sons of the second marriage were medical doctors, farmers, and county agents for Madison County. Miles was a farmer all of his life.Miles' marriage to MaryJane produced six (6) children, Susan, Mary, Dorcas, Walter, Andrew, and Milas.

From the second marriage to,Eliza Jones, nine(9) children were born, they are, Hugh, Anna, Robert, Lula, Della, Addie, Percy, Arthur, and Alvain.I am trying to locate the name of the Virginia county where Miles' was born and his father's name. The maiden name of, Maryjane, the first wife is unknown as is her place of birth in Kentucky. The second wife, Eliza Jones, was a slave whom Miles purchased probably in MS???. I would like to find out if Miles bought her in Mississippi or Virginia and what plantation she is from. Eliza Jones' mother's name is Adline Jones, her brother, Dr. John Jones, was a prominent medical doctor in Canton, Mississippi. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
