John's parents traveled from AL to South Carolina and he was born after their return.
John William Benjamin was named after three uncles in South Carolina. Ben's obit tells that he owned a sawmill in Butler Co. and that he was traveling North to pick up logs when he had a wreck near Decatur, AL. He later died in a Decatur Hospital at the age of 52.
