She married Mack William Claypole September 22, 1927 in Richmond, Ray County, MO, son of Jessie Claypole and Ida Jones. He was born October 5, 1907 in Richmond, Ray County, MO, and died December 1, 1986 in Ray County, MO.

      "Mrs. Ora Ellen Claypole, 76, Orrick, died Monday, Aug. 20, 1984 at Ray County Memorial Hospital.

      Visitation will be tonight (Tuesday) after 7 p.m. at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick.

      Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Orrick Baptist Church with Rev. John Justus officiating. Burial will be in Craven Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

      Mrs. Claypole was born April 6, 1908, a daughter of Robert Franklin and Sarah Ellen (Hendrix) Brinkley. She was a lifetime Ray County resident.

      She was married to Mack William Claypole Sept. 22, 1927. She survives at Shirkey Leisure Acres.

      Other survivors include two sons, Shirley Claypole, Orrick; Jessie Franklin Claypole, Eldon, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Murray and Mrs. Rosemary Barnard, Orrick; five sisters, Mrs. Melva Dean Lile, Rayville; Mrs. Edna Mae Hamilton and Mrs. Fannie Black, Richmond; Mrs. Ethel Woods, Orrick; Mrs. Louise McKee, Henrietta; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

      She was a member of Missouri Valley Christian Union Church. She was a domestic houseworker and a housewife."

Mr. Claypole worked for the Orrick Dehydrating Co. before he retired. Earlier, he drove a school bus for the Orrick School District. He was a former member of the board of directors of the Orrick Baseball League. He leaves a son, Shirley Claypole, and two daughters, Barbara Murry and Rosemary Barnard, all of Orrick; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Orrick Baptist Church; burial in Cravens Cemetery, Camden, Mo. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Thurman Chapel in Richmond. The family suggests contributions to the Mack W. Claypole memorial fund."

      Edna Mae (Claypole) Hamilton, 87, of Richmond and formerly of Orrick, died April 21, 1998, at North Kansas City Hospital.
      Mrs. Hamilton was born Oct. 26, 1910, in Napoleon, to Robert Franklin and Sara Ellen (Hendrix) Brinkley. She married Milo Claypole, of Orrick, Sept. 23, 1927. He preceded her in death April 29, 1969. She later married Everett Woods, who preceded her in death in 1980. She next married John Edwin Hamilton, who preceded her in death i 1996.
      She was a lifetime Ray County resident. She was a housewife. She was a Baptist. She worked as a cook at Ray County Memorial Hospital and for the Head Start program in Henrietta.
      Survivors include two sons, Robert Dean Claypole, Warsaw, and Danny Joe Claypole, Blue Springs; three daughters, Sarah E. Fulte and Dorothy Sue Lee, both of Orrick, and Judith Ann Hightower, Excelsior Springs; two sisters, Melva Dean Lile and Fannie Black, both of Richmond; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
      In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Aron Claypole; two brothers, Lee Brinkley and Howard Brinkley; four sisters, Ethel Lottie Woods, Rhoda Jean Loyd, Ora Ellen Claypole and Ester Louise McKee.
      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 24, 1998, at the Gowing Funeral Home chapel in Orrick. The Rev. Gary Beal will officiate. Burial will be in South Point Cemetery in rural Orrick. Visitation will be held after 7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
      Pallbearers: grandsons.
