Tim Thomas Taylor Family of Fredericksburg, TX

New to Geneology.Looking for ancestors for both my mother's and fathers side of family.We know my great grandfather Robert Emmit Taylor came to Texas from Illinois or Missouri just prior to 1883 because my granfather (Robert Emmit Jr.) was born in Fannin Co. Texas on April 16, 1883, and my grand uncle (Alva Lee Taylor) was born in Illinois in July 1879.We think the Cairo area???My mother's maiden name was Guy and my grandfather on her side was Warren Stanley Guy, but I know nothing about that side of the family except that he was a Colonel in the Army during WW2.
