Hello. The family names I'm looking for are: Tenner Algus Feder Sunshine Charp Fass Luft Welcome to my family tree. The Tenners (originally Tanchanovitz or Tanchowitz) and the Algus' (originally Eilgusof) came from the small town of Pacanov (pronounced patch -an-off) in what was then Russian Poland. The largest part of the tree are the descendants of Joshua Algus (Shea Eilgusof) my great-great-grandfather. They Algus' stayed very close for the first two generations. Pretty much the entire family came in through the port of NY in the early part of this century. The Sunshine/Feder family is more of a mystery than the others. Feder is a fairly common name and I have not been able to determine the name of the Sunshines in Europe, even after having found their ship records. It seems that the Sunshine/Feders came from Lublin Russian Poland, although the information doesn't seem reliable. My great -grandfather Rubin Sunshine and his sister Shayva had a brother Bentzien who came to the states as well. I'm especially interested in finding his descendants. -Adam If you think you might be related, please email. |
