Monongalia County, WV - Alpheus Tennant Cemetery

  The cemetery is located near Days Run (County Road 25) about 300 ft uphill from the house
below.  It is fenced and well maintained and all the graves appeared to be marked, but several of
the stones were eroded and unreadable.

  Referred to as the Tennant Cemetery on the Blacksville U. S. Geological Survey topographical
map, Volume II of Clay District, Monongalia Co. WV Cemeteries by Bonnie Higgins Wilson
states that this is the Alpheus Tennant Cemetery, although he is not buried here.  The reading
was completed on July 23, 2001.

  Approximately 100 feet below the cemetery, there were about 6 or 7 graves in a small unfenced
area.  None of the stones were still standing and all were unreadable.
