TEVOGT FAMILY--- Antone W. TEVOGT immigrated from Holland in 1846. He was accompanied by his sister Berendina or Anna Maria TEVOGT when he left Holland. He married Johanna Henrietta TENVOORDE 1 May 1851 and they lived in Evansville, Indiana for a time before moving to Minnesota about 1854. Johanna Henrietta TENVOORDE had previously been married to a man named James John DOLAN and they had a daughter named Mary Anna DOLAN, born in Evansville, Indiana, on 1 August 1850. Antone TEVOGT and Johanna TENVOORDE had a daughter, Johanna Bernadina TEVOGT, born in Evansville on 17 April 1853, and 5 sons and 3 daughters born in Minnesota. Johannes Hendrikus (Henry) TEVOGT came to the U.S. in 1874 and lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a nephew of Antone W. TEVOGT. All persons with the surname TEVOGT have been found to be related. I am researching anyone with the surname TEVOGT, TENVOORDE, and the following related families: Theodore PETERS, born in Herten, Germany, 15 November 1839; married Anna Maria Gertrud ALTROGGE, born in Marl, Germany, 10 October 1850. They lived in Minnesota and Saskatchewan, Canada. DARCY FAMILY--- Hugh DARCY was born in Co. Leitrim, Ireland, about 2 February 1835, came to the U.S. about 1849 and lived in Minnesota. He married Josephine NEWELL who was born about October 1843 in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Known siblings of Hugh DARCY were Sarah Jane DARCY, born about 1827 in Co. Leitrim, who married Charles EARLY, also from Co. Leitrim,on 7 January 1855 in New York, went to Whiteside County Illinois in 1856 and to Minnesota in 1859; a brother, John DARCY, born about 1831 in Co. Leitrim, came to the U.S. about 1849, lived in New Jersey and Illinois, and came to Minnesota in 1858. He married Eleanor EARLY who was born 1 January 1840 in Co. Leitrim, came to the U.S. about 1856. These DARCY's had DARCY relatives living in California and it is thought another brother immigrated with Hugh, John and Sarah Jane, and moved to California where he married and raised a family. I am researching the DARCY family and related surnames: Julia GOMBERT, mother of Josephine NEWELL, born 11 December 1820 in Meuse, France; [---?---] NEWELL, father of Josephine NEWELL, who was living in Jo Daviess Co. Illinois about 1842-1846; William MCBRIDE,born about May 1838 in Co. Antrim, Ireland, married Julia Ann Mallan in Minnesota, where they lived; a brother, John MCBRIDE, born 13 December 1834 in Co. Antrim, who married Bridget DOYLE in Nebraska and lived near Gretna, Nebraska; a sister, Mary MCBRIDE, born 15 August 1836 in Co. Antrim, who married Michael DUNN in Nebraska and lived in Sarpy Co. Nebraska; a brother, Daniel MCBRIDE, who was born in Co. Antrim in 1840 and married Ann Skall (Schall?). They lived in Bridgeport, CT. Daniel MALLAN, born about 22 May 1822 in Co. Armagh, Ireland, who lived in Sullivan Co. New York, Pike Co. Pennsylvania and Goodhue Co. Minnesota. He married Harriet TWICHELL who was born 26 February 1826 in Luzerne Co. Pennsylvania; her father, Horace W. TWICHELL, son of Asoph TWICHELL and Irene BRIGGS, was born about 3 March 1802 at Lake George, Washington Co., New York, married Eleanor HAVENS, daughter of Lewis HAVENS and Julia DRAKE, on 24 August 1822 in Sussex Co., New Jersey. They lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Minnesota. Horace TWICHELL married (2) Mary J. PERLEY on 5 June 1866 in Minnesota.
