This page is dedicated to research on the John J Jennings Family who came to Henderson County, Kentucky from Nottoway County, Virginia in 1833. John was married three times, first to Nancy Hawkins in 1818, secondly to Adeline ? (last name unknown) about 1826 and thirdly to Catherine Keach in 1843. John Jennings was reportedly shot to death by his brother in law, Ovid James Keach about March of 1846 in Henderson County, Kentucky. Regardless of the cause of his death he left 10 heirs:

John H Jennings 1834 - ?

Frances F Jennings 1841 - bef 1850

Ovid T Jennings 1843 - 1927

As well as the son of his third wife

Richard Bennett Keach 1840 - 1904 who took the name "Jennings."
Richards "Jennings" father is believed to be Colonel Jackson McClain.
