SON, JACOB THARP BORN IN 1773- DIED 1871 ALONG WITH SIBLINGS IN NEW PROVIDENCE, NEW JERSEY BAPTISED IN THE NEW PROVIDENCE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. AFTER DEATH OF JACOB (1) IN 1792, FAMILY MIGRATED TO KENTUCKY ALONG WITH SIBLINGS,ETC. PLANTATION IN PENNSYLVANIA CALLED "UNION". 1800'S THEY MOVED TO CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, OHIO AND IN 1820'S MOVED WEST TO INDIANA AND ILLINOIS. FURTHER MIGRATION TO OREGON OF SOME IN 1840'S.
