| The family name "Theloosen" is derived from "The Losen" and was first recorded around 1520 in the little village of Millingen in Westfalen, Germany very close to the border with the Netherlands. The ancestral town can be considered Anholt, Westfalen, Germany, also very close to the Dutch border as well as the aforementioned town of Millingen. There are many variations of the name found in baptismal records such as: "The Losen", "The Loesen", "Te loese", Thelosen, Theloosen, Theloesen, Terlosen etc. |
