The Moore Family of University Park, MD

Welcome to our home page!

We are David, Jennifer, Emily and Abby Moore. We live in a terrific, small, close-knit town named University Park, in Prince George's County, MD. Univ Pk is 1/2 mile south of the University of Maryland, and about 4 miles north of Washington, DC.

I am the research director of The Casey Journalism Center for Children and Families at the Univ of MD, and my husband David is a teacher in PG County. We fill our days with tinkering (our house was built in 1926), school, church and community volunteering, gardening and reading. Throw in soccer, choir, piano, Brownies, two cats, two gerbils, a frog and two salamanders and, well, THERE YOU GO...a full life!

We have extensive geneology on the Moore/Henkel/Harrison families of Virginia. I am currently researching the Ring/Byrd/Wright/Swinney families of Grayson Co, VA/Rowen Co, NC and the Russell family of Southeastern VA/Northeastern NC. Any information or questions on these families is welcome.
