| I am researching The Theale/Theall's of Mass., CT and New York. Nicholas Theall came to Mass about 1638. The family later moved to CT and then to Rye NY. His son "Captain" Joseph Theale was some what of a prominent figure in Rye. His decendents later settled in Newburgh NY. Looking for info on Sarah Martha Dean Theall Snead. She was born in Rye and lived and died in Newburgh. She married Thomas Theall in 1829. After his death she married John Snead. Her father was Benjamin Dean. I am also seeking info on the Hancocks of NY. Levi Hancock came from Worchester Mass and then to Matteawan(now Beacon)NY. His wife was Elizabeth ( Betsey) . He had a son Cyrus J. Hancock.They are both buried in a Beacon church yard. Levi also had 2 additional sons George B. And Levi A. and a daughter Augusta S. My research is also active in the McConnells of Sussex county NJ. James W. and Catherine(nee Hildebrant/Heldebrant) McConnell.Catherines parents were Samuel Hildebrant/Heldebrant and Anna Philhower. Their son was Samuel. He worked for the railway in Morris county NJ in 1850-1870.They also had 2 daughters Julia and Sarah. In addition I am researching The Scaranos of Italy. Rapheal Scarano and his son Basillio. Also the Blivens of Rhode Island. Brothers Edward and James arrived in America in the late 1600's and settled in Westerly Rhode Island. I would appreciate any help you can give to me. |
