She was born January 11, 1876, and died September 16, 1906 in Mulley's Cove , Newfoundland. He married (2) NAOMI HUDSON May 29, 1908 in Blackhead, Methodist Parish Newfoundland, daughter of PETER HUDSON and ANGELICA BAGGS. She was born September 23, 1873, and died September 05, 1982.

Josiah Thistle & his family immigrated to the United States in 1917 from Newfoundland.

In 1930 Census Framingham Massachusetts it showed Josiah Thistle and his family . Wife Naomi , sons Harold, Orville, Edwin and daughter Glady. The family lived at 343 Grant Street. Occ. Painter.

Notes for Naomi Hudson:

Naomi Hudson:Died few weeks before her 108th birthday. At the time of her death she was the oldest living person in the town of Framingham Massachusetts. In fact she was fit right up until about 3 weeks prior to her passing she maintained her own apartment up until she was 102.

Information supplied by RICK THISTLE...
When Naomi was a young girl she would cook washed and mend cloths for 16 men aboard her Families fishing Schooners . Hudsons had Fishing Schooners in Newfoundland. Her father Captain Peter Hudson made many trips each summer to the fishing grounds in Northern Labrador . Naomi while she was on these trips had told of many wild stories about Indians and Eskimo's . These's trips would last about 3 months in the summer. Naomi Hudson was a young girl when she made these for 15 years. She immigrated to the states in 1913 with her family . Naomi would walk to town every day and buy a news paper, she wore a money belt to carry her cash for many years. Source in formation Newspaper and Boland family.
