George Franklin Belcher is buried in Bowles Cemetery near Tompkinsville, Monroe Co, KY with 3 of his children. The cemetery is on private land at the end of Headrick Road, owned by the Geralds Family since about 1940. Most of the graves had only field stone markers and were destroyed by weathering and other causes. In 1937-38, Everett E Belcher had a cement cover poured over the graves of his father and 3 siblings to protect them. They are almost the only graves left in the cemetery that are now identifiable.

James Franklin Belcher left Ky about the turn of the century.
He is listed in the 1920 Census of Ophir, Powell Co, Montana.
Age: 49, Occupation: Farmer
He is living on County Road with his wife, Alma, age 50.
Family sources indicate that he married a widow with several children. He had no children of his own.
It is thought that he either worked as a bartender or owned a bar, perhaps
around Olympia, Washington at one time.

The city suggested was Olympia, Thurston County, WA, but there is no evidence of James F. Belcher there in the census records during the 1920s and 1930s.
