Notes for Donat Joseph Thivierge: My father! He was a hardworking man who, until the day he retired, held down at least two jobs. He worked mainly for US Rubber/Kaiser Aluminum in Bristol,RI. He was the only one of the sons of Elzear and Mary Louise Thivierge who did not enter the World War II. It was because he was married with children, and also worked in a War Support Plant. In addition, he had a number of grave lots at St Jean Baptist Cemetery in Warren, RI for which he was the
caretaker. He also was the President of the Circle Jacques Cartier #3 society in Warren. At other times, he was caretaker and Secretary/Treasurer of the Society. Dad was a self-educated man. He always said that he never went beyond the sixth grade. However, there was very little he could not do. He took great pride in whatever he did.
He was 77 yrs 4 mos and 2 dys old at his death.
