Slaves named in Deed Bond from Williams Adams, KY, 1813Adams, KY, 1813 William Adams, Shelby County, KY, Deeds Book L, P. 134, 5 March 1813 Know all men by these presents that we JOHN HITE & CATHERINE HITE his wife of Jefferson County and WILLIAM ADAMS of Shelby County do by these presents emancipate and set free the following slaves (to wit) LEWIS, MILLY, HARRIETT, and SIMON. LEWIS to be free from and after the present day MILLY to be free from and after the 26th April 1827 HARRIETT to be free from and after 1st January 1830 and SIMON to be free from and after the 22 April 1832 to have and enjoy their liberty according to the laws of this State.
