Notes for JOB (LAFORCE): When the La Force family petitioned (1812-1813) for the return of their slaves captured in the Martin's Station raid in June 1780 it was stated that Job had been taken by Mr. Duperon Baby (pronounced Baw-Be), a prominent French Trader in Detroit. Futher research required for Vital Records on Job. For continuity we have assumed the surname of La Force for all of the slaves captured in this raid. |
