Draper Manuscript Interview copy of the Rev. John Shane. Rev Shane was a survivor of the Ruddle's Fort and Martin's Station raids in KY by the British Loyalists and their Shawnee Indian allies in June of 1780. The captives were taken to Canada and dispersed among the Shawnee and the British.
