Notes for Harriett "Fanny" ADAMS: "Fanny" is found as Harriett on Lewis Adams Frredom papers and is scheduled to be freed in Jan 1830. She is first found in the 1850 Federal Census records for Ohio, Champaign County with her husband, John Miles, and children. On an 1857 Plat map for Concord Twp. she is listed as living on 40 acres next to her brother Wm. Adams. It appears her husband John Miles was listed as "white", while Fanny and children were listed as "Mulatto" in 1850. On the 1860 Census Fanny and the children are listed as "white" and John is deceased ca 1855.
