| My basic roots were firmly planted in the Province of Quebec, Canada when I located my grGrFather, James KELLY & his wife Margaret LEVY living, in 1861, on a wooded & uncut 100 acre farm - Lot #68 - Edwardstown - Rang simple d'Edwardstown in "lower Canada" (now known as the Province of Quebec). They were married 1854 - 'Lower Canada' & had children (all b Paroise St-Jean Chrysostome, Chateauguay) starting 11 February 1855: Mary; William James; Lawrence; Julia Marie; Caroline Augusta; Patrick James & Rosa Ellen. Many twigs, branches & leaves have now grown on this magnificent tree including: O'KELLY, POWER, BOUCHARD, GABORIAULT, GAGNE, DAME and many more, with some dating back into the 17th century when "Le Petit" Claude BOUCHARD immigrated into Canada (New France).I work diligently to nourish this, "MY TREE", and she grows and blooms constantly for me. I fear, however, that unless I can strengthen her "KELLY" roots she may fall. I need help to keep her alive & will gladly share the 'wealth of information' contained in her branches. |
