Alexdr Ozburn & Major Dunn.Morgan Bryan, Captain, Hugh McCreary, Lt.---then among the list of names---William Silvers, Thomas Silvers. Also included were Daniel Boone and brother John Boone.He was born in 1763 in Virginia or Rowan Co., North Carolina.Heads of families North Carolina lists William Silvers as born in North Carolina.He owned adjacent property on Oct 27 1778 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.Rowan Co., NC Vacant Land Entries 1778-1789 shows #1682 Robert Misaps 100 acres on head branch of Cabin Creek adjacent to William Silvers and Matthew Skain and running down said creek, including his improvements bought of William Silvers.Made to Jonas Hoover.He owned adjacent Property on Nov 28 1778 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.Rowan Co., NC Vacant Land Entries 1778-1789 for #1807 has Matthew Skeen 640 acres on Cabin Creek adjacent to William Silvers' old cabin and Robert Milsaps including his improvements.He appeared on the census in 1790 in Salisbury District, Rowan Co., North Carolina.Listed in the first three columns after his name are: 2 males over 16 years, 1 male under 16 years, 2 females, no slaves.He owned 30 acres on Jul 21 1794 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. Rowan Co., NC Bacan Land Entries 1790-1795 shows #209 William Silvers 30 acre adjacent his own line.He appeared on the census in 1800 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.Williams Silvers is listed as age 37, spouse Ann is listed as age 35.He owned 47 1/2 & 300 acres on Oct 30 1804 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.Book 19, page 93 Rowan Co., NC deed abstract has: William and Ann Silvers lets Frederick Smith--both planters of Rowan Co., NC--have two tracks on the waters of Cabin Creek: on of 300 acres beginning at a pine going west 75 chains to a hickory on the line of Peter Vinson, north with it 40 chains to a post oak and a hickory, east 75 chains to a post, then south to the beginning (which had been sold to William Silvers Dec 18 1799) and an adjoining tract of 47 1/2 acres (which had been granted Nov. 21, 1801), beginning on the corner of the deeded land of the said Silvers at a pine, going south 12 chains and 50 links to a post oak, west 38 chains to an ash in a branch, with its meanders to a stake on the line of sain William Silvers.(NOTE: a chain as a measurement of distance is 66 feet.)He died in 1810 in Pulaski Co., Kentucky.He appeared on the census in 1810 in Pulaski Co., Kentucky.Census shows William Sn. as 47 yrs, and spouse as 45 yrs. no slaves.He was Baptist in Rowan Co., North Carolina.He was Irish descent.Grandson John Silvers stated that he was of Irish background.
He was married to Ann before 1784.Ann was born in 1765.
