THORNTON, WOODS, PALLIER, AVERY, & STEIN... Mainly in Australia - NSW, and England/Ireland/Western Europe. Currently, I am working on THORNTON, WOODS and PALLIER. I am looking for children and their families of Samuel THORNTON (abt. 1783-1842) and Sarah (nee. either THORN or MADDEN) (abt. 1790-1827). They arrived in Sydney in 1814 from England, as free settler and convict respectively. The children were: Sarah (abt. 1810-1898); Samuel (abt. 1812-?); Margaret (abt. 1816-?); George (1819-1901); Mary Ann (abt. 1821-?); and Edward (1824-1884). With the WOODS family, I am looking at James WOODS (1815-1902) and Sarah TURNER (1826-1911) and their children, also their parents as well. One branch off this family, PALLIER - I would like to find out more about the family of this name. The records indicated that John Joseph PALLIER (or DE PALLIER) (abt. 1798-1870) arrived Sydney with his wife, Ellenor (abt. 1796-1860) , along with their son, Joseph (?-1893) and his wife, Sophia (?-1883). They lived in Camden district, buried at Cobbitty cemetery. With Avery and Stein (Finkelstein) families, they can wait but I would welcome any inquiries about those families along with the families mentioned above. I would gladly exchange any information that I have with me. Please do not hestitate in contacting me.
