Mary Elizabeth Haas (daughter of Benneville Haas and Catherine Harpel)^{977, 978, 979, 980, 981, 982, 983, 984, 985} was born March 14, 1852 in Logan County, Ohio^{986, 987, 988, 989}, and died July 25, 1926 in Bellefontaine, Ohio^{990, 991, 992, 993}. She married James P Collins on December 03, 1870 in Logan County, Ohio^{994, 995}, son of Joseph Collins and Phobe Cline.

Notes for Mary Elizabeth Haas:
According to her obituary on page 5 of The Daily Examiner of July 26, 1926 published in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Mary's funeral was held on Tuesday, July 27, 1926 at the home of George and Leila Corwin at 544 Eastern Avenue. Rev. J. H. Culler of Springfield officiated at the ceremony, and burial was made in the New Salem cemetery where she was a member. Mary and James Collins ran a grocery in New Jerusalem for 22 years, but for the three years preceding Mary's death, they had lived with George and Leila.
The 1920 Federal Census of Jefferson Township, Logan County, Ohio shows Mary living with James. Jame's occupation is listed as general farming, and Mary is listed as proprietor of a grocery store.
