Members of his household included one male under the age of five, one male 30 to 39, two females under the age of five, two females five and under ten, two females ten and under 15, and one female 30 and under 40. I think the township is really Lake Township, and the name was just misread by the person producing the census index.

Other members of the household included Eliza, age 44, Sarah, age 21, John W., age 17, Druzilla, age 15, Junutta, age 6, Charles, age 1, and Rebecca Blue, age 17. From the Spring 1995 (Volume XVII No. 1) newsletter of the Logan County Genealogical Society, Branches and Twigs Quarterly (1995, p. 12), John Clingerman was issued a tavern license on April 17, 1848. The license was for a period of one year in Zanesfield.
According to Death Notices From Ohio Newspapers at The Logan County Historical Society Bellefontaine, Ohio compiled by Marguerite Lambert (p. 4, 1976), a record of the death of John Clingerman on February 5, 1865 appears in the February 24, 1865 issue of the Bellefontaine Republican and Local Register. The cause of death is listed as congestion of the brain. His age at death is given as 66 years and four months. I obtained a copy of the newspaper article from the Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. The exact text of the death notice is as follows: "DIED -- At his residence in Zanesfield, on Sunday, February 5, 1865, of congestion of the brain, Mr. JOHN CLINGERMAN, aged sisty-six years and four months."
