John Bruner (son of Johann Peter Bruner and Catherine Kiblinger)^{469, 470} was born September 15, 1803 in Orange County, Virginia⁴⁷⁰, and died November 22, 1879 in Champaign County, Ohio⁴⁷⁰. He married Catherine Baker on May 22, 1827 in Champaign County, Ohio⁴⁷¹.

According to The History of Champaign County, Ohio published by W. H. Beers and Co. in 1883 (p. 789), John came to Ohio in 1812 with his parents. They settled in Clark County.
