* attended high school (Jesse H. Jones H.S. Class of '66) with JoBeth Williams who went on to become a "major" Hollywood actress.
* flew a WWII vintage partially restored Boeing B-17 (G) Flying Fortress in 1981 as a member of the civilian warplane restoration group the Confederate Air Force (CAF).
* was credentialed by the US Secret Service to photograph Pres. Ronald Reagan and by NASA to photograph the first free flight drop test of the Space Shuttle Enterprise from a 747 carrier aircraft at Edwards AFB, CA in 1977, and in 1981 to photograph the first manned flight of STS-1, the US Space Shuttle from Cape Kennedy, FL along with 1000+ other press representatives from around the world.
* sang for Pres. Bush at the 1992 Republican Convention in Houston as part of a 1,000 voice choir at an Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast held at U of H, ... my alma mater.
*sang The National Anthem at Astros games in the Astrodome in 1998-99 as part of the Second Baptist Church's Mens Ensemble "AMEN".
