James McKeen, Justice (son of William McKeen and UNKNOWN Mary) was born 1665 in Ballymoney, County Antrim, Ulster Province, Ireland, and died 09 Nov 1756 in Londonberry or Windham, Rockingham Co, NH. He married Janet Cochran.

James McKeen was usually called Justice McKeen. He was the first
magistrate commissioned in Londonderry, New Hampshire. He and his group
of emigrants from Northern Ireland settled the town in 1718.Justice James
McKeen was in business with his brother William at Ballymony, and was
quite successful. He emigrated to America in 1718, and, with others,
appeared in Londonderry in 1719. He was the first magistrate commissioned
in Londonderry, was a man of honesty, intelligence, and ability,and one
of the leading and wealthy men in the young colony. He was in the very
prime of manhood, although 53 years of age when he came to Londonderry.
(See footnote, p. 441.) His first wife was Janet Cochran, by whom he had
a daughter, Elizabeth, who married, in Ireland, James Nesmith, who
settled in Londonderry, and was ancestor of the Nesmith's of Windham and
Londonderry. Another daughter married her cousin, John Cochran, of
Windham, ancestor of the Windham family, and they lived where their
great-grandson, William-D. Cochran, now resides. The second wife of
Justice McKeen was Annis Cargil, who died. in Londonderry in her 94th
year, Aug. 8, 1782. By both wives he had twenty-one children.
