"Michael John Thornton from York, England. UK."
Hi! My famliy Tree covers the whole of Great Britain, from north to South and from East to West. I'm still new to all this 'electronic wizardry', so please forgive any shortfalls. On my maternal grandmothers' side of my family, she always said that she was related to the notorious highway man Dick Turpin... but, she said that that name wasn't his real name, and that he was a Nevinson...still to be proved. I have a long way to go before I can say that I've done enough... so, any help would be gratefully received..... asI am researching my Ancesters through the Thornton, Harrison, Massey, Eagle, Aldwinckle, Nevinsom and Parker surnames, plus related spouces'. Samuel Ernist Thorntons' mother, Esther May Eagle, is believed to have had family connections with Austrailia. The Thornton family lived and worked in and around London during the nineteenth century before my paternal grandfather moved to Leicester in the early nineteen hundreds. He was in the Police Force. The Harrison Family lived in Yorkshire in the area of Easingwold, close to York. After the First World War, the family spread out all over the County. | "Michael John Thornton from York, England.
