I am currently researching the Belcher portion of my ancestry. My father's name is Vern "Maggie" Belcher and he was born in Wyoming Co. WV about 1911. His mother's name was Jane Belcher b. abt 1874 and his grandparents names were Richard and Louisa Belcher. I believe his father's last name was McGraw, although I don't believe Jane ever married. Vern has a brother named Wirt C. Belcher that taught school in Wyoming Co. WV for many years. Both Wirt and Vern are still living, though my father has not been very cooperative with my search. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As I compile more information, I hope to add some reports for both the Belcher and Simons sides of my family. |
