He married (1) JANE MILLER December 1829, daughter of ANDREW MILLER and MARGARET MCLEARY. She was born October 3, 1806 in Ryegate, Caledonia, Vermont, and died January 12, 1849 in Randolph Co., Ill. He married (2) NANCY CATHCART March 7, 1850. She was born 1813, and died August 1893.
