| WELCOME!! Greetings to Friends and Family The report attached to this home page gives a partial list of direct family names and only those that have vital statistics. I have over 10,000 names in the data base (if your family is from Harlan, Bell or Knox Co., KY you might as well give me a ring, your family is either part of mine or a neighbor.) Questions du jour: 1. Rhoda Wilder (July, 1841-May 10, 1914) had four children: Reason (Oct. 6, 1861-Sept 17, 1921), James, William and Martha. Reason Wilder's death certificate lists his father as being Ben Howard of Harlan Co., KY. Any clue on the father of the other children? In none of the censuses does she have a man in the house. In different censuses she is listed as widowed or divorced. Now I know she's divorced from Ben Howard (Seriously the worst divorce case I have ever read - everyone involved with the court was a relative of Ben's including the man claiming to act as her representative. She wasn't even there. Ben's own testimony showed he was lying. He claimed she was cheating but he was the one that married immediately after the divorce. Ben Howard is not one of my favorite ancestors.) but did she marry afterwards? 2. Joicy Dilla Edwards b. 1831 NC, lived in Knox Co., KY. Married and divorced Nasby Mills and then married Daniel Jackson. Family moved to Yell Co., AR. My information on Joicy's parents is sketchy at best. I have suspicions, I want facts. |
