Notes for Cornelius Wiersma: He was said to be a Marine and involved in a mutiny at sea. Some of the Marines were beaten to find out the true story of the mutiny and Cornelius was never right again. At first the family had no word of him butafter much searching, found him in a hospital in Washington D.C. and had him transferred to a State Hospital in Newburgh (OH) where he died. (Cope)
