| I am researching the Throner family in America and hope to trace their origins in Europe (most likely Germany and/or Austria).We are descended from Tony Throner first reported with certainty in the 1880 Ohio census as a boarder "Tony Troner."Tony was born in New Jersey in 1863 and was married to Laura Emrick (b. Ohio) in 1888.They had two sons, Guy Charles Throner (married to Weltha Marie Zechar), and Eugene Charles Throner.It is unknown when Tony's parents immigrated to the United States presumably circa 1830-1863; according to the 1880 and 1900 census, they were born in Bavaria (Germany).We presume that Tony's father's name was Charles because both of his sons middle name is Charles, his mother's name is unknown.
