The Adam Thumm Family of Ypsilanti, Michigan

Updated October 12, 2009

I am searching for ancestors of Adam Thumm, who came to America in the 1850's from the village of Plattenhardt, near Stuttgart, in Baden- Wurttemberg, Germany. Adam came with his brothers Jacob, John, and half-brother Ferdinand. They were in New Jersey briefly, and then moved west. At this point contact with Ferdinand was lost. Adam, Jacob, and John went to Ypsilanti, Michigan. Adam remained in Ypsilanti, and Jacob and John moved to Berrien County, Michigan.

I am also searching for the ancestors of Dan Klein, who came to America in the 1850's from Germany (possibly Bavaria), and the ancestors of Herman Roehm, also from Germany in the 1850's. Both families settled in Washtenaw County, Michigan.
