I am new to doing this family tree stuff and I am loving it. I hope you enjoy looking at it all. If anyone can help me, please get in touch.
Quick Update... I have just found William Stanley Thurgood's mother, Minnie Bickmore's birth in May 1878. She lived at home until she was approx 13 when she left and worked as a servant in Layer Marney for John and Mary Williamson.
Her Mother Jane Bickmore (My Great Great Grandmother) had 13 Children in total, Edward born 1870, William 1871, Florence 1872, Maud 1873, Edith 1874 (exactly 100 years before my birth) Janey 1875, Alice 1877, Minnie 1878 (My Great Grandmother), Hetty 1881, Bertie 1882, Elester 1884, Lily 1886 and last Archie 1888. 13 Children ... OH MY GOD!!!
However Jane died in 1888 so I am trying to find out if it was Archie's birth that killed her.
Jane Bickmore was aged 35 when she died after spending most of her life pregnant!!!!
Minnie Bickmore then married in 1896 to a man named William Woodwards who she had a child with named Edward. However William died sometime between 1898 and 1901. I want to find out how?
Minnie then married Albert Thurgood (My great Grandfather) in 1903 and I am not sure but maybe Albert brought up Edward as his own son?
Anyway thats my update for now.
