| I am researching the Tidwell Family, who came to America, I believe, from Tideswell, England. Three brothers settled in Virginia before moving west. What I am told is that two of the brothers went south and ended up in Texas; the other brother went north and ended up in Miami, Oklahoma. I stem from the latter branch. My father Moody R. Tidwell, Jr was married to Dorothy Thompson. My grandfather, Moody R. Tidwell, Sr married Kate Peebles. One question we have always had is from where did our first name, Moody, and middle name, Rudolph, come? Any information would be welcome and I will share everything I have. |
