I am researching the ascendants of myself and my wife. These include Kidd(Native American?); Maxwell, Brown and Bird of Englandand Scotland; Tiedemann, Kuebler, Moyer, Herpich and Rapp of Germany; Dinsmore, Beatty and White of Ireland; Mariani, Ricciardi, DiPetro and Rizzi of Italy among many others. This is ongoing so as to capture as many of the nuances and not previously recorded facts about family members - living or gone from this life but not forgotten. My research seems to have stalled on two of Marjorie's earliest four ancestors: Filomena Rizzi, and Antonio DiPetro. Further research will require access to foreign records which I currently do not have. I'm hoping the next reunion will be as helpful as the last was in reuniting some of the Ricciardi(Richards) branch with the rest of the family. It was a joy to see some of the "little ones" looking up their own names as well as their parents' and other relatives names. In regards to my parents and their ancestors, recently I was contacted by a cousin-by-marriage who is reseaching her husband's family. She shared some links and one led to a blood descendant cousin who has kept up with another cousin's line. Much new material is coming to light here. Ancestry.com's new search engine led to the discovery of a cousin-by-marriage on another line I had been stalled with for a couple of years. This particular individual lives less than 10 miles away. Kudos to my mom's first cousin Bill Rapp for his ongoing invaluable inspiration and insight into methods and places to do further research on our family. His enthusiasm keeps me energized and infintely curious.
