I am putting together a Tree for my grandchildren. It will inclued the Tierney family at present known back to Patrick Tierney from Dungannon and Moy, Co. Tyrone circa 1803 married to Lovina Lacy. The McAuleys and Gallaghers from Aranmore Island Co. Donegal and the Hannigans from Strabane and St. Johnstone. On the maternal side, the Walshes and the Hargadons.

The family as far as I can remember from my grandparents stories split three ways in the 1850's. The afore mentioned Patrick's eldest son Patrick and his brother Peter went to Scotland, while the rest of the brothers and sisters went to New York City.

I have some great old letters sent back to Ireland and Scotland by them from 417 West 36th Street,New York during the 1850's which were passed down to me but unfortunatly I have no idea what happened to U.S. section of the Family. I'm sure that whoever they are and wherever they are they would love to get to know their relations shown in the photographs below. Drop me an E mail if you think you are desended from my lost New York branch of the Tierneys, John, Mary, Lawrence or Isabella [Belle], I would love to here from you.
