"The Robert J. Tighe / Tigue Family Home Page"

I am Robert J. Tighe. I currently live in Connecticut, but I am originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

My father was born John Edward Tigue, but he apparently changed the spelling of the name to "Tighe" in the 1920's. His father's name was James Tigue. The family is originally from Pittston, Pennsylvania. Jame's father was Martin Tigue. It is my understanding that Jame's brothers and sisters relocated to the New York City area. Martin was a coal miner who immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland sometime in the 1850's.









Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
