These are the members of an African-American family. Their beginnings have so far been traced back to Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Mississppi, Louisiana,Kentucky,Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.
I began researching during the original "Roots" era, but put my efforts aside to "live life", however, as time passed, I realized that many of my ancestors had slipped away, leaving me with limited resources for information.
Fortunately, I am the product of two closely knit families, whose surviving members have been blessed with longevity and good minds. As a result, I have been able to compile a tree with over 2000 names. I am presently working on cemetary and plantation records and have possibly pinpointed a family line that would take us back to the Motherland.
If you are interested in researching, or recognize a family member that you would like more information on, please feel free to contact me.
