I am researching all of the family branches of my husband (Enoch) and myself. We were both born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas.
I am researching the BURL family of Chicot County, Arkansas. Robert Burl first appears in the 1900 Arkansas census. However, there is a Arkansas record of his 1883 marriage to Georgia Ann Tilford. They had 14 children, all born in the Readland, Arkansas(Chicot County)area. Most later moved to Eudora or Pine Bluff, Arkansas areas. It was rumored that Robert Burl came from N. Carolina as a slave from the West Indies Islands. Georgia Ann's mother was Elizabeth LOUDEN born in Mississippi and Georgia Ann's father was said to be a slaveholder.

I am also researching the Floyd WOMACK family from the Lonoke County area. He was married to Fannie BROWN on February 11, 1892 in that same county. This marriage produced three children, one of which was my paternal grandmother, Daisy Womack, who later married Isaac Winston DEAN of the Tiller (Drew County), Arkansas area. Her mother Fannie had children form a previous marriage(RIX).

My husband's family includes the Pleasant MOORE family of the Phillips County, Arkansas area, the Douglas TURNER family from the Sunflower Lake, Mississippi area and the Charlie PASSMORE and Billy ADAMS family out of Eaglebend, Mississippi. The period was around the late 1800's. In addition, his paternal grandfather was a R.C. Daniels out of Idell, Oklahoma.

At this point, I'm trying to locate any information about my family. It has been somewhat difficult because of the variations in spelling of the last names and the limited records of African- Americans.

Any help would be appreciated.
