My family came from Sicily around the early 1900's and settled in Connecticut. My father was Sebastiano DiMauro from Melilli, provice de Siracusa, and his mother was Salvatrice Guissepa Spada born in the
same town. His father was Lorenzo DiMauro. My dad arrived at
Ellis Island on April 13, 1913 on the ship, Taormina. He may have lived in Lawrence, Massachusetts when her first arrived. My grandfather must have died because my grandmother married Sebastiano Fazzino about 1903. She had five children with him.
My father married his first wife Lucy Sampieri and had three sons, Lawrence, Salvatore, and Michael. Lucy died very young.
My father married my mother, Vincenna LoCicero in 1938. My mom was born in Ansonia, CT., USA. Her mother was Mary Biondolillo
from Colesano, Provinca de Palermo, Sicily. Her father was
Salvatore LoCicero who came from Grotte, Province de Agrigento,
Sicily
My husband's family comes from Frattarusso near San Marino in the
Marche region of Italy.
His grandfather was Angelo Tinti who was married
to Maria Storoni. My husband's father was Solindo who came to the USA as a young man. He married Frances Agnes O'Neil in
Ansonia, CT around 1929. Her mother's name was Catherine Mary
Clifford from Queenstown, Ireland. Her mother was a Doyle.
