I am currently researching my family from the Borders area of Scotland. I am looking for my gg-grandmother Margaret Dermond (McDermaid) who was from Ayr, The Gardners from MidLothian, and the Douglas and Scotts from Roxburgh. My paternal grandparents came from the Bristol area of England. William Neale emigrated to Canada, around 1900. He married Minnie Pike in Canada. She was from the same area of England. I'm not sure whether she came to marry him or they met after her arrival. I am looking for my ancesters from Wiltshire named Barnes as well. My husband's family the Tinney/Walls is from the Somerset area of England. Samual Tinney born 1849 in or near Blackford. He married Sarah Jane Hansford (born 1858). |
